About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to focus on acquiring new and managing relationships with existing key travel retailers and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and targeting key travel retailers and OTAs across Southeast Asia and China for partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Hunting and Farming: Identify and target key travel retailers and OTAs across Southeast Asia and China for partnership opportunities.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Develop and execute a strategic plan to sign new travel retailer partners to the Distribusion platform.
  • Sales Process Ownership: Own the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, lead generation, pitching, CRM maintenance, and ensuring the successful onboarding of new retailers.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, understanding their needs and ensuring they are effectively integrated into our platform.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales and revenue growth by securing high-impact partnerships that align with Distribusion's strategic goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including Business Development, Integrations, Product, and Finance, to develop tailored solutions and successfully onboard retailers to our platform.

Requirements

  • Business Development Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on the travel industry and partnerships with OTAs and travel retailers.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian market, including key players, market trends, and regulatory environment.
  • Partnership Success: Demonstrated success in securing and managing strategic partnerships, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • International Experience: Willingness to travel as needed across Southeast Asia and China to meet with partners and attend industry events.
